Vertical Forms
The Vertical Forms block is a block of the Unicode standard that contains characters that are used to represent letters and other characters from other Unicode blocks in a vertical orientation. These characters are called vertical forms, and are typically used to represent text in vertical columns, as is commonly done in Chinese, Japanese, and Korean writing. The characters in this block are not used to represent text in its normal horizontal orientation, but are instead used to represent text in a vertical orientation. The Vertical Forms block is often used in conjunction with other Unicode blocks to represent text in digital form.
