Old Persian
The Old Persian block is a block of the Unicode standard that contains characters used to write the Old Persian language, an extinct language spoken by the ancient Persians in what is now Iran. The Old Persian script is a cuneiform writing system, with each symbol representing a specific sound in the Old Persian language. This block contains all the symbols needed to write Old Persian text, as well as a number of punctuation marks and other symbols. The Old Persian block is often used in conjunction with other Unicode blocks to represent Old Persian text in digital form.
