Malayalam

The Malayalam script is a writing system used to write the Malayalam language, as well as several other languages in the region of Kerala in India. It is an abugida, which means that each consonant has an inherent vowel sound and other vowels are indicated by diacritical marks. The Malayalam script is part of the Unicode standard, which is a standardized character encoding system that allows computers to store and display text in a wide variety of scripts and languages. The script has a long history, with the earliest known inscriptions dating back to the 9th century CE. It is one of the oldest surviving scripts in the world and has a rich cultural and linguistic heritage.
